Earlier this year, I had the incredible opportunity to attend our company-wide offsite in Las Vegas.

Held at the iconic Flamingo Hotel, the week was a celebration of all we have achieved so far and a call to action for where we wanted to go next. Mixed in with some celebrations and team bonding. It was an unforgettable way to kick off the year with the entire team.

Before the official offsite began, a few colleagues and I took the chance to visit the Grand Canyon. We hired a car and drove from Nevada to Arizona.

It was a breathtaking experience, standing on the edge of one of the world's natural wonders with people who started as colleagues when I first joined PolyAI back in 2022, and have become good friends since.

We explored the Grand Canyon, hiking and enjoying the vast natural beauty for a few days before returning to Las Vegas for the start of the offsite.

The offsite itself was a chance to step out of the day-to-day and see the bigger picture. Including the unveiling of our refreshed company values. Hearing leadership speak about what we stand for and where we’re going gave me a renewed sense of purpose.

Throughout the week different departments gave presentations on their work and how it affects the business as a whole.

As someone who usually focuses on my own team’s outputs, it was eye-opening and extremely worthwhile to understand how other functions drive the business forward.

It gave me a new appreciation for the many moving parts that make the whole machine run, and the people behind them.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Vegas without some fun.

The company organized a series of social events where we had the chance to relax, laugh, and build friendships beyond our usual work interactions.

One of the highlights was watching Cirque du soleil's show "O" at the Bellagio.

I feel truly grateful to be part of a business that invests so generously in its people - not just through travel, accommodation, and meals, but through the time and space to align, connect, and recharge.

Now, as we move through the year, I’m more motivated than ever to work hard with this amazing team and deliver great work that moves us forward, together.
